In the young life of Henry Wolfe and Co., 2011 was a big year, a year of firsts. I released my first full-length record, did my first US tour, performed on national TV for the first time, played at the SXSW festival, did my first month-long residency in Los Angeles, heard one of my songs playing on the radio, and had another song featured in a very cool movie called ‘Terri’. Not bad for a mom and pop operation. Well, just pop…
However, until I can retire on a bed of royalty checks, I’ll continue to rely on you guys to gauge my success. I’m so grateful for your support and encouragement. Thanks for coming out to the shows. For signing the mailing list. For buying some merch. For posting a good word on iTunes, YouTube or Facebook. You guys are the fruit of my labor and the apple of my eye.
Please don’t change in 2012. With love,
Henry
Well hello there,
My it’s been a long long time. During these days of radio silence I’ve been in my workshop, tinkering with the tuner in my head, scanning the airwaves for a new transmission. Lately I’ve been picking up signals, a shard of melody here, a turn of phrase there, a lick of guitar: threads to turn into songs, songs to turn into a new record. Which is to say, I’ll have some new music to share with you before long, and I’m getting excited for what’s in store.
Speaking of stores, did you know I have one? Well I do, and I’m having a sale. If you’re interested in picking up some first-run merchandise (and you appreciate a good deal) now’s the time to drop by the Henry Wolfe Outlet Store. Your generous support will help fund my January tour.
By the way, did I mention I’m touring the east coast in January? I’ll be playing with a full band and opening for my friends in He’s My Brother She’s My Sister.
In the meantime, if you happen to be near Los Angeles this Saturday night (Oct. 22nd) I hope you’ll drop by the Bootleg Bar. I’m performing a solo set at 9:30pm, opening for Tyler Ramsey of Band of Horses. You can find details and tickets here.
Thanks for reading. Please don’t change.
Your humble CEO,
HW
Hey folks, tonight I’m playing a solo show in Cincinnati, OH as part of the Midpoint Music Festival. The bill is pretty good. A band called The Dodos are headlining. My set starts at 8:30. For more info on the venue and tickets click here.
Hi, how’s it going?
This week, the band is hitting the road to play a handful of shows in the Golden State, opening for Langhorne Slim and the Law. Please share the news with your friends on Facebook, Twiitter, MySpace, Friendster, Bebo, etc. And of course, I hope you’ll join us in person if we’re playing in your hood!
Be well and see you soon,
Henry
